No jargon, promise. Here's what we look at every morning before deciding where to drive you.
Measured in metres. Knee-high is gentle. Chest-high is fun. Overhead is for confident surfers. We won't put a beginner in waves bigger than chest-high.
Seconds between waves. Anything 10+ seconds means clean, powerful waves coming from a real storm. Under 7 means choppy and weak.
"Offshore" = wind blowing from land to sea. That holds waves up clean — the surfer's dream. "Onshore" = wind from sea to land. Messy.
We combine size, period and wind into one plain-English label so you don't have to do the math. "Beginner-friendly" means it's the right size + clean enough for a learner.
Our coach reads the forecast every morning and matches you to the right spot. You don't need to know any of these names — but now you can if you want.
