Sharp reef, fast barrels — a serious wave for confident, experienced surfers only.
Draculas earns its name. This sharp reef break serves up fast, hollow right-handers that bite — one of the most demanding waves within reach of the camp, and strictly for experienced surfers.
Draculas breaks over a shallow, sharp reef and produces a quick, barrelling right-hander when a clean swell meets the right tide. There is little margin for error: the wave is fast, the reef is unforgiving, and the take-off demands commitment.
We only surf Draculas with advanced guests, and only when conditions genuinely line up — a solid NW swell, mid-to-high tide and light offshore wind from November to March. For the right surfer on the right day it is a thrilling wave. For everyone else, it is a great one to watch from the cliff.
“Booties are a smart call here — the reef at Draculas is as sharp as the name suggests.”
