A performance reef with lefts and rights — and a freshwater spring bubbling out of the cliff.
La Source takes its name from the natural freshwater spring that seeps from the cliff above the lineup. It is an A-frame reef break that peels both ways — one of the best spots on the coast to push your surfing.
Sitting between Killer Point and Anchor Point, La Source breaks over a reef and offers two distinct waves from a single peak. The right is the longer, more forgiving wall; the left is shorter and punchier. Mid tide with a clean NW swell is when it is at its best.
La Source suits confident intermediate and advanced surfers. It is an ideal step-up wave — steep enough to teach you about real reef surfing, but with a channel that keeps the paddle-out manageable. The season runs October to April, and our coaches love bringing improving surfers here once they have outgrown the mellower beach breaks.
“Take the right for length and the left for a quick, sharp wall — the peak gives you both.”
It's an easy van ride from Nomad Surf Camp — your coach drives you door-to-lineup on every surf day.
