A relaxed right-hander right in Taghazout village — perfect when Anchor Point is too big.
Hash Point breaks at the edge of Taghazout village, and its name says it all: this is a relaxed, take-it-easy wave. When the bigger points are firing too hard, Hash Point is the friendly alternative.
Hash Point is a right-hand point break over rock and reef at the north end of Taghazout. It is mellower and more forgiving than Anchor or Killer — the walls are softer, the take-off less critical, and the ride still long enough to feel like a proper point wave.
It is a great spot for improving intermediate surfers and a reliable fallback for everyone when a big swell makes the heavier points unmanageable. It works through the October-to-April season on the same NW swells. The walk from the village is short, and the vibe in the lineup is famously easygoing.
“Hash Point shines on the mid-sized swells that overpower Anchor — when the forecast looks too big, this is often the call.”
