A long, powerful right-hander — one of the heaviest waves on the coast when the swell is up.
Killer Point — named for the killer whales sometimes seen offshore — is the most powerful point break in the Taghazout area. When a big NW swell lands, this is where the experienced crew heads.
Killer breaks off a headland north of Taghazout over rock and reef. The wave has two main sections: an outside peak that holds real size, and a faster inside that runs toward the cliff. On a clean swell it produces long, racy right-handers with genuine power behind them.
This is a wave for advanced surfers. It holds swell bigger than almost anywhere else nearby, the currents are strong, and the take-off zone shifts with the tide. It comes alive on solid winter NW swells from November to March. We only bring guests here once a coach is confident you will enjoy it rather than survive it.
“Watch a few sets from the cliff before paddling out — Killer's peak moves around, and picking the right spot saves a long paddle.”
